Please join us at the Museum Store as we launch our Trunk Show Season during November. The Museum Store will showcase the wares of nine artists and designers just in time for the holidays.
This week we’ll be featuring Ife Felix a fiber artist and writer. Her work reflects urban surroundings, incorporating a mosaic of bright colors and movements to depict the many rich cultures, traditions and ethnic groups that inspire her. Using textiles and embellishments from Africa and the Caribbean, Ife’s samplings and stimuli are as great and diverse as the montage of individuals who live in New York. Ife says, “I use the medium of quilting to express the stories that I have yet to pen. Quilting for me serves as the bridge between all visual media.”
Chris Bracey got his start in the art world making neon signs for sex shops in Soho before being chosen to work on iconic films like Eyes Wide Shut and Batman.
